Sandeep is a molecular biologist with a background in cancer biology. He started his professional career as a veterinarian and then transitioned into cancer research, when he accepted a Ph.D. position at Texas A&M University to work on dissecting the molecular mechanisms of cannabinoids as anti-cancer agents. He then pursued his post-doctoral research in Frank Buchholz’s lab at TU Dresden, where he focused on investigating the role of lncRNAs in homology-directed repair of DNA double strand breaks. Subsequently, he switched gears and joined NCT Dresden to study immune-checkpoint regulation in cancer.
