Nasim is an image analyst with a background in cell biology and microscopy. She holds a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she studied the role of Vitamin D and its receptor on retinal angiogenesis and on a specific cell type (Pericytes).
Prior to Dewpoint, Nasim was an image analysis postdoc at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, where she developed microscopy image analysis workflows for the projects and collaborations in the Imaging Platform, including JUMP-Cell Painting Consortium.
Nasim is very passionate about community engagement and professional development. She has co-founded a trainee-based consulting group, developed and organized workshops and training opportunities for her peers, and served on the leadership team of several org groups. She enjoys photography, outdoor activities, food and new recipes!
