Mallak Alomoush

Malak holds a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Hashemite University in Jordan, where she got a background in molecular biology, microbiology and bioreactors. During her studies, she was an Amgen Scholar awardee and conducted research on optimizing a brain on a chip model using microfluidic devices at the University of Tokyo, Japan.

Malak continued her education at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, where she earned her master’s degree and was exposed to a variety of fields including neuroscience, immunology, oncology and cardiopulmonary studies. During her time there, she conducted research on in vitro models for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) and genetic cardiomyopathies, where she learned a lot of techniques in histology, mammalian cell culture, microscopy and different molecular techniques.

At Dewpoint, Malak is enjoying the journey into the world of drug discovery and is constantly expanding her knowledge of the condensate world. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, music, watching movies and animated series, playing video games and Dungeons and Dragons.
