During her undergraduate studies, Carolyn was a member of the Ophthalmic Biophysics Center at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, working under Dr. Bianca Maceo-Heilman and Dr. Fabrice Manns. Her work focused on accommodation in patients undergoing cataract surgery.
After graduation, Carolyn joined the Molecular Cardiology Research Institute at Tufts Medical Center, working in the lab of Dr. Basak Icli. At Tufts, her work focused on the role of microRNAs within the vasculature of the adipose tissue.
This is Carolyn’s first role working for a biotech company, and she is very excited for this new venture!
