Balaji is a principal scientist and team leader overseeing the Merck-Dewpoint collaboration on HIV.
Balaji is a trained cell-molecular biologist who completed his doctorate work on unconventional myosins. Subsequently, he studied mechanisms of viral assembly and host-virus interactions at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and the University of Massachusetts Medical School, respectively.
Balaji has broad experience in diverse biochemical and cell-based assays, preclinical proof of concept studies and leading projects in early-stage drug discovery.
