Andreas Zech

Andy, a Bavarian native, joined Dewpoint in early 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, and a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich.

Before joining Dewpoint, Andy worked as a medicinal chemist at AbbVie in Ludwigshafen. During this period he was responsible for the synthesis and the design of brain penetrable compounds, the implementation of modern reaction screening technologies, and the collaboration with external synthesis resources.

Away from work, Andy’s favorite place is the ice rink, where he practices and plays for his local hockey club.
